Certification QPL pour les gammes PM907S et PM98S
Exxelia annonce l’obtention de la qualification ESA/QPL pour ses gammes de condensateurs film : PM907S et PM948S.
Les gammes PM907S et PM948S de condensateurs film viennent d’être officiellement qualifiées QPL par l’organisme européen ESCC (European Space Components Coordination). La certification QPL atteste que les performances du produit ont été validées par un organisme accrédité indépendant. Les produits qualifiés QPL offrent une qualité et fiabilité supérieures, qui répondent aux exigences des applications spatiales.
Les gammes PM907S et PM948S appartiennent à la famille des condensateurs film polyester métallisés (PET), haute précision. La gamme PM907S est adaptée aux tensions de 50V à 1250V, et offre une capacité allant de 82nF jusqu’à 180μF. La gamme PM948S couvre quant à elle les tensions situées entre 50V et 630V, et offre une capacité allant de 22nF jusqu’à 47μF.
Ces deux gammes supportent des conditions extrêmes, des températures oscillant entre -55°C et +125°C, tout en offrant une forte concentration d’énergie, de faibles ESR et ESL, ainsi qu’un courant RMS élevé.
Ces produits sont principalement utilisés dans des alimentations à découpage et pour la fonction de filtrage des BUS.

Ultra low ESR, high RF power and high self-resonant frequency The NHB series is a complete range of MLCC based on NPO dielectric material providing a very high Self Resonant Frequency and limiting the parasite Parallel Resonant Frequencies. The series is available in 1111 size with capacitance ranging from 0. 3pF to 100pF. NHB series offers excellent performance for RF power applications at high temperature up to 175°C @ 500 VDC. The lowest ESR is obtained by combining highly conductive metal electrodes and proprietary of the NPO low loss rugged dielectrics. NHB series is particularly fit for high power and high frequency applications such as: cellular base station equipment, broadband wireless service, point to point / multipoint radios and broadcasting equipment. Typical circuit applications: impedance matching, bypass, feedback, tuning, coupling and DC blocking. 100% invar tuning screws with self-locking system Invar-36 is a unique Iron-Nickel alloy (64 % Fe / 36 % Ni) sought-after for its very low coefficient of thermal expansion. With 1.1 ppm. K–1 between 0°C and 100°C, Invar-36 is about 17 times more stable than Brass which is the most traditional and common alloy Tuning Elements are made of. The working temperature range in Space is so wide that this property becomes essential for a reliable and stable cavity filter tuning. Self-locking system is a technology commonly used on Tuning Element made of Brass or other soft “easy-to-machine” alloys but is innovative and pretty advanced when applied to hard and tough Invar 36. The design consists of two threaded segments separated by two parallel slots. After cutting both parallel slots, the rotor is compressed in its length in order to create a plastic deformation. Thus, an offset is induced between the two threaded segments which generates a constant tensile stress in the rotor from the moment threaded segments are screwed. High Q Factor Dielectric Resonators Dielectric resonators are designed to replace resonant cavities in microwave functions such as filters and oscillators. Exxelia has developed with support of ESA and CNES, a new high-end dielectric material, E7000 series, designed for high-end filters where high Q factor is requested. E7000 is Ba-Mg-Ta materials based that combines an ultra-high Q factor and the possibility to get all the temperature coefficients upon request. E7000 provides high-performance requested for space use in the frequency range 5 to 32 GHz, and guarantees up to Qxf > 250 000 at 10GHZ. Typical applications: Satellite multiplexing filter devices, radio links for communication systems (LMDS), military radars.
Gammes de condensateurs HiQ à l'EuMW
Exxelia Temex will be exhibiting at European Microwave Week 2016 through its mother group Exxelia. Showcased on the booth #237 will be all the company’s solutions intended for applications requiring low loss in equivalent series resistance (ESR) and high Q factor for specified DC or RF voltage, including Classic HiQ, Super HiQ and NHB series. Classic HiQ series is a range of RF ceramic capacitors providing low ESR and Ultra High-Q. The high-density ceramic construction provides a hermetic package and the highest working voltage on the market; up to 1500V and RF currents. Available in 0505 and 1111 sizes with capacitance values from 0.1pF up to 1000pF, the Classic HiQ series is perfectly adapted for applications such as: linear RF power amplifiers (LPA), mixers, filter networks, timing circuits, delay lines, oscillators, etc. Super HiQ series offers excellent performance in critical high RF power applications requiring consistent and reliable operation. The range has been engineered in all standard EIA sizes to provide constant capacitance over voltage, temperature and aging. It is also available in RF specific sizes (0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210). The ultra-stable Super HiQ series offers Ultra-low ESR and Ultra HiQ with capacitance values from 0.2pF up to 1000pF. In addition, it enables superior high-voltage handling with working voltage up to 1500V. This series is particularly fit for cellular base station equipment, broadband wireless service, RF generators applications. Typical circuit applications: filters networks, matching networks, tuning, coupling and DC blocking. New: NHB series is a complete range of MLCC based on NPO dielectric material providing a very high Self Resonant Frequency and limiting the parasite Parallel Resonant Frequencies, available in 1111size with capacitance ranging from 0.3pF to 100pF. NHB series offers excellent performance for RF power applications at high temperature up to 175°C and at 500 VDC. The lowest ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) is obtained by combining highly conductive metal electrodes and proprietary new NPO low loss rugged dielectrics. NHB series is particularly fit for high power and high frequency applications such as: cellular base station equipment, broadband wireless service, point to point / multipoint radios and broadcasting equipment. Typical circuit applications: impedance matching, bypass, feedback, tuning, coupling and DC blocking. All capacitors are packaged either as bulk chips or with tape or reel. All components are RoHS compliant and available with magnetic and non-magnetic terminations. They also provide as a good alternative for MIL-PRF-55681 / CDR capacitors. European Military, space grades and custom made capacitors are also available on request.
