Powerful ALUMUNIM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR RANGES AT RAILTEX – BOOTH #H02
Exxelia is pleased to exhibit at RailTex 2017 in Birmingham, United-Kingdom. From May 9th to 11th at booth #H02, Exxelia will be showcasing innovative ranges of Aluminum Electrolytic capacitors for use in both rolling stock and signaling systems.
Felsic HV, long lifetime and high voltage screw terminal aluminum electrolytic capacitor
The Felsic HV family of aluminum electrolytic screw terminal capacitors provides great performances in energy density and ultra-long lifetime. For instance, 6 800µF @450V fit into a volume of Ø77 x 220mm and can withstand 200,000h between 0 to 70° under 37Amps, which makes them the perfect choice for use in rolling stock traction systems or the CVS. The family also has one of the lowest ESR for aluminum capacitors with less than 10m0hms in most cases. Products are available for voltages from 160 to 450 Vdc, and offer capacitance values from 1500μF up to 47 000μF offering the best compromise between reliability and compacity.
Snapsic HV, high voltage snap aluminum electrolytic capacitor
Because it covers voltages from 16 to 500Vdc and temperatures up to +105°C, and because it is customizable, the Snapsic HV series is very versatile and can cover all needs of energy storage in medium voltage both in rolling stock equipment or signaling systems. Thanks to its high ripple current, it is often used in SMPS and HVAC rolling stocks units with a typical variation of 470µF @450V in Ø35 x 50mm, as well as in various signaling control units, where a smaller package can be used with for example 1 000µF @250V in Ø35 x 40mm.
Prorelsic, the long lifetime axial aluminum electrolytic capacitors for signaling equipment
Exxelia’s range of aluminum electrolytic solutions would not be complete without the axial leaded Prorelsic series. These capacitors show high ripple current and extra-long life-time with 20 000h @105°C. The most common sizes are Ø8.5 x 19mm, Ø10 x 19mm and Ø12 x 30mm, with typical values of 47µF @40V, 100µF @25V and 47µF @100V respectively. Prorelsic capacitors are perfectly suited for smoothing, coupling/decoupling and energy storage functions in railway signaling equipment.
New Plug&Play filters for datacenters and mission critical facilities
Electronic equipment can leak sensitive information over conducted or radiated electromagnetic emanations, and signals transmitted down unprotected lines can potentially be intercepted. That’s why filters are implemented into systems to prevent EMI disturbances, as TEMPEST filters stop the high frequency EM signals (or noise) emanating inside the secured environment. Exxelia has a long history of manufacturing state-of-the-art electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering technologies for space, avionic and defense markets. Thanks to this in-depth knowledge, Exxelia came to the conclusion that the installation of a product is as critical as its reliability, especially when shielding continuity and sensitive copper terminals are involved. That’s where Exxelia’s new full range of TEMPEST pluggable filters will save time and spare headaches! The 9260W series is a multi-socket line extension with a built-in 16A Tempest filter (minimum 60dB, from 100KHz to 1GHz), CE qualified according to EM 60950-1 standard. 9260W series Plug&Play solution is available with UK, US and EU standard plugs and can be provided with any other standard plug upon request. In addition, Exxelia completed its offer with the 9259W series of pluggable filters featuring various plug interfaces such as VGA/DVI, USB, Ethernet, Phone, Audio and much more. 9260W series and 9259W series are both fully compliant with EMC expectations and allow considerable time saving and cost-effectiveness. When a standard filter needs to be wired and shielded to each socket one-by-one before carefully re-closing the whole equipment, Exxelia new series can be installed using no special tools and with a smaller footprint. To all people handling sensitive information, a simple plugging operation is now enough to protect their data. Available now, 9259W and 9260W series are fully customizable upon request.
Exxelia at Eurosatory
State-of-the art absolute optical encoders Exxelia has acquired deep expertise in the development of contactless position sensors of several type: absolute and incremental optical encoders, magnetic technology and inductive sensors. Several ranges of state-of-the-art absolute optical encoders will be showcased at the company booth - Hall 5A booth# E543. Absolute optical encoders are position sensors that use optical signals to identify an absolute angular position. They provide the highest resolution, operating speed reliability as well as long life operation in most demanding environments. Exxelia ranges of absolute optical encoders offer very high performance levels for a very small footprint: high precision (<30arcsc.), high resolution (up to 21 bits), extreme thinness (10mm) and EMI EMC compatibility. With their compact design, Exxelia miniature encoders meet the requirements of the most demanding application such as aerospace, defense, medical, oil & mining industries. Various protocols are available to match with any application. Exxelia encoders can be easily combined with other functions such as slip rings to provide customers turkey solutions. Two new ranges of MIL-qualified wet tantalum capacitors: MIL39006/22 & MIL39006/25 The recently introduced ranges of MIL-qualified tantalum capacitors will be showcased on the company booth. MIL 39006/22 and MIL 39006/25 respectively equivalent to CLR79 and CLR81 types featuring hermetically sealed cylindrical tantalum cases and axial leads are available in T1, T2 T3 and T4 cases with extended capacitance and voltage ratings. MIL 39006/22 is qualified for voltages from 6V to 125V and provides from 1200µF @6V to 56µF @125V. MIL 39006/25 is qualified for voltages from 25V to 125V and delivers from 680µF @25V to 82µF @125V. Both ranges combine high energy density with a large operating temperature range of -55°C - +125°C and H vibrations and shocks resistance.
